Im booking a trip to vegas!!!!!?

I’m looking for the cheapest way to do this. I know I’m still gonna spend around 1500-2000, which is fine. I’m just looking for the best way to do this, ie which airline is the cheapest, should I call the hotel directly or book the flight and hotel together..any info is helpful. Thanks

The info you have received already is fairly accurate, but you need the best way to book still.
Airline fares do change all the time. Try Kayak.com, southwest, and aa.com. For hotels, check out the mapping: http://www.vegas.com/lounge/map.html
Most people prefer the strip area.
Interesting honest reviews: http://www.cheapovegas.com/
The best 3 sites to look for hotels have 2 that have you direct booking – they only show the deals and codes available:
http://www.smartervegas.com/
http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/
and one seems extra good as an agent:

They will beat expedia and hotels.com, etc.
The daily resort fee adds up also. It is ok if you want the services like internet in the room, but if not using the service, it is just an adder: http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/index.php/2011/09/01/hidden-fees-at-las-vegas-hotels-dont-be-a-victim-5907/
You won’t need a car unless leaving the strip/downtown areas.
“B” rated show discounts are here: http://halfpriceshows.com/
The A rated are at Tix4tonite and shows at hotel links above
There is a “Free to do” and coupons here: http://vegas4locals.com/
The food is at every price level. Nice $35 buffet at the Cosmopolitan as my favorite.
I assume you are 21 or older of course. There are stripper gentlemen’s clubs – lots of them, and not cheap. Also a few shows for the ladies around.
Weekends are higher priced than weekdays. There are “event weeks” that are expensive. EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival), CES (Consumer Electronic Show) has every hotel booked. July 4, New Years Eve, etc.
You could split your hotel stay into 2 hotels. Nicer hotel mid-week. Most people spend very little time in the room. It is a 24 hour city. Drai’s afterhours starts like at 2AM. You can carry drinks in the street. In the summer, a lot of young people get the yardlong frozen margaritas. It gets HOT inthe summer. Like 107F and dry. Great pool parties. There are no clocks in the casinos, and very few seats not at slot machines or restaurants. Best slot play is at Palms and the Station Casinos (off strip).
Las Vegas Advisor is a good web site to browse around. They may get special deals:

That about covers most of everything. I live here in Las Vegas. You need to guide your hotel and stay to your pleasures. This is a vacation city. Got specific questions, then email me.
