Inground pool losing water in winter?
We have had alot of snow on the cover which snapped a hook, but after clearing the cover there is little water in the pool. Why did this happen and how do I know what to check? Thank you.
Something is leaking. If you have had very cold temperatures this can cause cracks. If you peer into the water, are there bubbles coming from any area? If not, you need to remove the rest of the water and basically go over the pool inch by inch. The crack may be obvious or there may be a little patch that remains damp looking after all the water has been removed.
Once you have found the leak you need to repair it with a reputable waterproof filler. If the pool is made of vinyl you need to find the leak and cover it will a pool repair patch.
