Ion Heat Protector Spray

After I straighten my hair, it looks burnt?

When I straighten my hair, I use an “Ion” hair straightener. I put it up to 450 degrees which is the max degree setting. I do this because I have ULTRA thick hair, which takes about 40 minutes-1 hour to straighten if I do it right, layer by layer. (There’s about 3 layers.) So when I finally get done, my hair looks very burnt. The ends fray out, and if I pull a single hair out, its all crinkled, and I cant stand it. How do I prevent this without using heat protector spray? I have some of that but it makes my hair look and feel greasy. So all help is appriciated. Thank you!
Also- I use that high of a setting because if I go lower, it hardly straightens it due to the wavyness and thickness of my hair.

well im not sure about that cos i have white girl hair u really need to make it lower tho try the 400s i usually spray some ‘ HASK pure shine’ on the bottom of my hair with the split ends after i straighten and it makes it look real nice and not burnt lookin
