help!! i got a pool and need help with the chemicals?

i got a 12ft above ground pool and have recently brought a pool starter kit, including algeside to kill algea and ph plus and minus. and chlorine. i havent got a clue about how to work any. ive read the manuel twice and doesnt help.

The tester should have 2 holes in it and markings on the side. Dip the tester into the pool water, until the water is level to the markings. One hole is for your chlorine reading,(the bottle should say how many drops) and the other the PH reading. After you put the required amount of drops in, put your fingers over the holes and shake slightly. The water in the tester will turn color, compare that reading to chart( usually on the tester) to see if your pool water needs chemicals, too strong, or is alright and needs nothing done to it.
Algaecide is only added periodically, to keep it under control. Not an every day chemical.
If this is the first time you have filled your pool with water, you will need to “shock it” and kill any bacteria. The manual should explain how much chemical to use. You will have to test it several times afterward, until the reading is normal before you get into the pool.
I hope I have cleared up some confusion and the manual will make more sense. If not call the hot line number/website and ask for assistance.
