Swimming Pool Chemicals Cancer

swimming pool chemicals cancer
Is it true that phenol red can cause you to get cancer if it comes to contact w/ your skin?

A few weeks ago, my dad was testing the chemical balance in our swimming pool or something & after he was done, he just threw the COC stuff & the phenol red right in the pool. And last summer, my summer school teacher for Science class had us do a lab using phenol red & some other stuff & he specifically warned us to not let the phenol red touch our skin because it’s linked to cancer & if it did touch our skin, to wash it off thoroughly right away. So if my family & I or anyone else swims in our pool now, could we get cancer because there’s a little bit of phenol red in the water?

No! Phenol red is an indicator of PH.
It could irritate the skin but that’s highly unlikely.
