head gasket or something simpler?

It’s a 94 grand am (no comments, I know it’s a crap car) It’ getting bubbles in the system I’m assuming. It goes from normal temp to a little over halfway, with no heat when it does this. Then it comes back down to normal temp and I have heat again after a few seconds. When idling if you rev the engine it jumps (the engine itself) We did this when trying to get bubbles out of the system.
It leaks antifreeze out the top of the reservoir when warm. Pretty much empties itself. Both the oil and antifreeze look fine, not milky. Although the antifreeze does have bubbles in it. Small ones that could be from it boiling over. I can’t tell if the exhaust is white since it’s sooo cold here right now everyone’s is white. With this car it’s a big production to change the thermostat, I can’t imagine what it would be to do a head gasket on this thing.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

It sounds like you have already diagnosed your problem, these are all symptoms of head gasket problems. If it is a small break in the gasket it will introduce air into the cooling system, this air will sit right under the thermostat, causing the engine to overheat before it can open, simple test is to leave the cap of at night or when it has cooled down enough to remove the cap without burning yourself.Install the cap back on before you start it again.Feel the top hose to see if it gets hard, like it;s being blown up.If this is the case then you have a head gasket problem.
Just for every bodies info.Ahead gasket WILL NOT CAUSE oil to get into the cooling system or coolant to get into the oil, unless the gasket has cracked adjacent to the oil gallery.
