I just purchased a house with a pool and am attempting to learn how to get the chemical levels all right. I tested the chloring and it was to low, the pH was low (6.5) and the Total Alkalinity was way to high (250). The water is clear and looks great, no cloudyness. I am trying to figure out how much acid I need to ‘pool’ to first bring the alkalinity in range so that I can then work on the pH and chlorine. I know adjusting the alkalinity will adjust the pH so I am at a loss. Any help would be really really appreciated. Thanks!!
