Email me and I can talk you through this. I take it, it’s an above-ground pool. Is the liner torn? What is the diameter. Do you have the replacement liner ready to go? And it should be either 48 or 56 inches tall? Do you know what brand the pool is?
to drain it the best thing to do is take your pool pump and on the front of the basket where the water comes in from your skimmer, get another (should be 1 1/2 inch [if it’s a hayward 1 or 1.5 HP pump]) female x male connector and about 20 feet of flexible PVC (sometimes called flexpipe or flextubing) that is also 1 1/2 inches. Put the connector into the front of the pump and glue the flexpipe into the connector. Now prime the hose and put it in your pool. (Tie it to something heavy but not sharp) so that it holds the hose close to the floor of the pool. Turn on your pool pump and give it an hour or so. Your pools cover pump will work too but SOOOOO much slower. If it’s an inground pool you can just shut off your skimmer valve and pump from the main drain to discharge. If that sounds WAY too complicated…..go down to your local “RENT-ALL” and rent a “mudpuppy” of other heavy industrial pump and follow their directions.
