Going on a cruise?

I haven’t had a vacation in like 4 years and have decided to go on a cruise. I’ve never been on a cruise and I need advice.
I don’t want to spend more than $2000 for the whole vacation. The cruise cannot be more than 5 days long. I live in southern california near los angeles and san diego.
I’m 22 and I’m probably going to be cruising alone.
Anyone recommend a destination or cruise line? Also is there a site that lists all the cruiselines and features. Also when you pay for your cruise does that already cover food, spa, etc. or once you’re on the ship you have to pay for it seperately?
Hypothetically speaking. If I also bring my brother along, he’s 18, would $3000 be enough to cover the trip.

Hi there!

You have so many options when it comes to cruising. Your food is paid for but drinks are extra. Juice, lemonade and tea are free but soda and alcohol cost money. The food is fabulous on Royal Caribbean!! You can definately find a great cruise on your budget.

www.cruisecritic.com is a wonderful site. Not only does it have hundreds of reviews on EVERY ship but it also has message boards where you can find tips and answers to all your questions.

Happy cruising!
