Swimming Pool Maintenance Schedules

swimming pool maintenance schedules
Quit my job? or keep it? The Swimming pool ruins my life!?

When I got hired as the assistant manager, i did not know that i would have to check the pool chemicals and close the pool after my scheduled shifts. Friday I get off at 1pm, and i have to check the chemicals at 5pm and close it at 9pm. Saturday and sunday i get off at 5pm and i have to come back and close the pool at 9pm.. I used to live on site, and it was stressful then, but now I manage my own complex and I’m still the assistant there…..so I’m still responsible for the pool on the weekend. But it totally ruins my weekend!!! The manager and maintenance guy are home and they won’t do it because they say they need a day off too. every two weeks i would loose about $150 from my check, which isnt so bad. Is it worth it? I cant even go hang out or anything because i have to come right back. I dont even feel like it’s my job anyway. its a maintenance job. Would you keep this job or quit?

You need to do what’s best for you. If you need the extra $150, then keep doing it. If you don’t need it and feel you would be much happier with more free time, then quit that task. Just make sure it doesn’t piss off the owner.
