I think i just fucked up my pool?

Hi, my new inground pool was just filled today and the pump and heater is running. it is a salt water pool. i was told to follow the instructions the pool company gave me. i was told to add a bunch of chemicals. One of the instructions was to add granular chlorine. i was confused as my pool was a salt water pool. after i added the chlorine, the pool went from clear to foggy brilliantly. is this normal? the orientation man is coming tomorrow to teach me the maintenance of the pool. but i really need to know if i messed up my pool. i was following the instructions given from my pool maker. I did whatever the sheet told me to do. it did not say anything about any checking pH levels …. and it says add 3 pouches for at large / XL pool. Which is one i have …

you add chlorine at first until plaster hardens, THEN add salt Which is turned into pure Sodium chloride or chlorine …. but your salt chlorinator cell should NOT be hooked up to the plumbing until AFTER plaster hardens it will get calcium deposits on the titanium plates and they will have to be acid washed.
